Crowd Management Passenger Safety and Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Services to Passengers in Passenger Spaces

Description

This course aims to provide knowledge, skills and understanding of crowd management and control of emergency scenarios.

It covers topics on control, assisting of passengers to muster stations, mustering procedures and embarkation procedures.It also includes topics on communication using Basic English language and the use of hand signals and other non-verbal means of communication.

The course complies with the requirement of Regulation V/2 and meets the minimum standards of section A-V/2 paragraph 1 and 2 of the 2010 Manila amendments to the STCW Convention and Code for the training and qualification of masters, officers, ratings and other personnel on passenger ship.


Entry Requirement

1. There are no specific entry standards for this Course.
2. This course is open to masters, officers, ratings and other personnel of passenger ships whose duties and responsibilities are detailed in a and b below.

a)Crowd management training is required for Masters, officers, ratings and other personnel on passenger ships (STCW Code Section A-V/2 paragraph 1).
b)Safety Training is required for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces (STCW Code Section A-V/2 paragraph 2).
