Cargo Handling Simulator Training Course for Crude Oil Tanker
This course provides training for officers assigned with specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo equipment and operation on board a crude oil tanker vessel. The Cargo Handling Simulator Course for Crude Oil Tanker is a simulation-based training and assessment program aimed at familiarizing and developing the trainee in a safe and pollution free cargo operations on all aspects of crude oil tanker cargo operations.
The program focused on two objectives: To ensure that the participants can handle a cargo operation watch on board safely and effectively and produce an efficient crude oil cargo operational plans in compliance to existing requirements of the international maritime conventions and legislations.
3. Entry Requirement
The course is open to deck officers at operational and management level who will be assigned with specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo equipment and operation on board a crude oil tanker vessel, provided they have completed the statutory training in specialized oil tanker training programme and have experienced sea time on similar tankers.
4. Course Intake Limitation
The number of participants shall not exceed eight (8) persons to allow each trainee to benefit from the emphasis of the course. Trainer/ student ratio is one (1) trainer is to four (4) trainees.
