COMPASS CROSSING NEW HORIZONS ANTIQUE BRANCH NOW OPEN!

COMPASS Training Center once again crosses another milestone with the opening of its first provincial branch in SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, ANTIQUE. Provincial expansion studies were undertaken with the commitment to establish better service mileage for the maritime industry which was made possible through the joint venture with Saint Anthony’s College of Antique. The official inauguration commenced last August 28, 2016, Sunday, the said event was graced with the presence of COMPASS’ board of directors headed by Mr. Antonio Burguete Jr., Chairman of the Board, Capt. Lauro Isulat Jr., General Manager of COMPASS – Antique Branch, and Mr. Dakila P. Villanueva, President of COMPASS Training Center along with other esteemed guests including Hon. Edgar Denosta, Vice Governor of Antique, Hon. Rony Molina, Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Hon. Elmer Untaran, Mayor of San Jose de Buenavista and Most Rev. Jose Romeo Lazo, Bishop of the San Jose de Buenavista Diocese joined by the administration of Saint Anthony’s College headed by Rev. Fr. Edione Febrero, President, Engr. Leda de Gracia, Vice President for Administration, Mr. Jose Edison Tondares, Officer-in-Charge for Research, Planning and Development.
Initially, courses duly accredited by MARINA and are readily offered on the said branch are as follows:

• Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS)
• Medical First Aid (MEFA)
• Medical Care (MECA)
• Consolidated MARPOL (MPLC)
• Ratings Forming Part of an Engineering Watch (RFPEW)
• Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW)
• Ship Security Officer (SSO)
• Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)
